マンスリーシリーズで「借りた祈り」が始まっています。セーラが Valley of Visionから紹介しています。今回は便乗して私も一つ祈りを借りたいと思います。

昨今、身の回りで起こることを網羅して祈るのは大変です。箇条書きにしたらそれこそ本が出来てしまうぐらいではないでしょうか。するとどうしても祈りを励まされるよりも、膨大なニーズに目が行ってしまい心が騒ぐだけで終わることがあります。極端に「神様よろしく！」みたいにちょっと投げやりな祈りになったりもします。

詩篇を祈ったり、様々な祈りを集めた本から、教会の礼拝で祈られた祈りを「借りて」祈ることがそういう時にとても励ましになります。

今回は先日のCA Church の牧会祈祷を紹介します。Mission担当のMardi牧師の祈りです。和訳は私の拙訳です。私たちはカナダの西海岸におり、それが文脈ですが、この祈りはあなたのおられる場所に応じて祈れると思います。

父なる、子なる、聖霊なる神よ、私たちはあなたを崇めます。あなたは私たちが讃えるのにふさわしいお方ですからあなたが善きお方であることを歌います。あなたの素晴らしさは全宇宙を通して光り輝いています。

神よ、どうかあなたが善き方であり、栄光に満ちた方であることが私たちの街に、国において敬われますように。また全ての者があなたの愛を知ることが出来ますように。

神よ、あなたは確固たる岩です。この地の基いが揺さぶられても、私たちの周りの事が不明瞭で不安定であっても、私たちはあなたを信頼出来ます。ですからグラグラしていること、人間関係や仕事のことや健康のことなどをあなたのもとに持ち上げます。

私たちの国家事情が移り変わっていること、経済、政府、そして国境の南側における変化からの影響など、それらをあなたのもとへ持ち上げます。私たちをどうか’養ってください。あなたの民を養ってください。とりわけ経済が悪化すると一番に大きな影響を受けやすい者達をかえりみてください。

世界が混沌としています。神よ、どうかウクライナ、中東、北アフリカ、といった地域にあなたの仲裁の手がありますように。イエスよ、あなたの平和をもたらしてくださいますように。

神よ、私たちはあなたに信頼を置いています。あなたは善きお方です。私たちの祈りに耳を傾けてくださいます。私たちの周りの者達の叫ぶ声を、あなたから離れている者達の叫び声さえもお聞きになられます。どうかあなたの民である私たちの近くに居られますように。どうかあなたが行動を起こしてくださいますように。イエスの御名によって祈ります。アーメン

We praise You, O God—Father, Son, and Spirit. We sing of Your greatness because You are worthy of our praise, and Your brilliance shines throughout the whole universe.

God, our prayer is that Your goodness and Your glory will be honoured in our city and our nation and that all people will come to know Your love.

God, You are a steadfast rock. Even when the foundations of the earth shake, when everything around us is unclear and unsteady, we can trust in You. So we lift up to You the things that are shaky in our lives—things like our relationships, our work, and our health.

We also lift up to You the things that are shifting in our country—the economy, the government, and the impact of the changes on our southern border. God, we ask You to provide for us, provide for Your people, and especially for those who are most vulnerable when our economy is threatened.

We also acknowledge that our world is in turmoil, and God, we ask that You will intervene in places like Ukraine, the Middle East, and North Africa. Jesus, bring Your peace.

God, we trust in You. You are good. Thank You that You hear our prayers—You hear the cries of those around us and even the cries of those who are far from You. Be near to us, Your people. We ask You to act.
